I was so sad to hear this news. Heather and I were quite friendly at school, but I had sadly lost touch. I remember her very kindly knitting a square for my needlework class (I was hopeless at knitting and she was quite quick.) we shared a faith in Jesus and I hope that has brought her and her family comfort and hope throughout her illness.
Praying for her family at this difficult time
My beautiful friend for over 45 years. Always there, laughing and listening. I will miss her very much, despite living on the other side of the world. Heather was my rock in the north west, there for me every time I returned. Family was everything to her, I hope that you take comfort in knowing how precious you all were to her. Sending you love Heather, always xx

Heather, my dearest and most precious friend, so beautiful inside and out, you were the gentlest of souls, whose warmth and compassion for others always shone through. You carried your faith with grace, humility and quiet strength and made everyone feel loved and understood.
I remember with such clarity and fondness, your beaming smile and infectious laugh, how you lit up the room with your presence. Your quick wit and gentle sense of fun were often self-deprecating and laughter surrounded and followed you.
You had such a flair and sense of style, but found beauty and joy in the simple things. I so treasure those memories of our time spent in Ripon :- listening to Terry Wogan in the morning and relaxing later to Nina Simone or Crystal Gayle; sharing your Mum’s delicious cherry cake over mugs of tea; sneaking down to the music room at night to hear you play Scott Joplin’s ‘The Entertainer’; making pizzas for tea and watching ‘Brush Strokes’; enjoying a Saturday treat of ‘Woman’s Weekly’ with a vanilla slice; and dancing to Rick Astley as we tried to stay awake in the early hours to meet our assignment deadlines. They were such happy days 🩷
Family meant everything to you – they were always your strength and foundation and your love for them was boundless.
Heather, you were so deeply loved by all you knew and although our sense of loss is overwhelming, we hold onto the joy of having known you. You remain forever in our hearts and minds.
Rest in peace now, my beautiful friend, and soar with the angels. Till we meet again…. XXXX🩷💞💕
Sincere condolences to John, George, Emily, Frank, Judith and Tim on the sad passing of Heather. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. May you be comforted by a lifetime of precious memories of Heather. May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.
